NuCalm has partnered with Flex so you can buy a NuCalm plan with your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) card. Flex emails you an itemized receipt within 24 hours, plus a Letter of Medical Necessity where your purchase needs one.
Choose SLEEPSUITE or EDGE below, monthly or yearly. The HSA/FSA button opens a secure checkout run by Flex, our payment partner.

Choose a plan to pay with HSA/FSA
Same plans and prices as the plans page. Paying through Flex is a direct purchase, charged today, with no free trial. Plans renew automatically until you cancel.
Flex is the payment company NuCalm works with so you can pay with a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) card. HSA and FSA money is set aside before tax, so a purchase from one is paid in pre-tax dollars.
How do I pay with my HSA or FSA card?
Pick a plan and billing period, then press Pay with HSA/FSA. That opens the Flex checkout. Enter your HSA or FSA card and finish as usual. We set up your NuCalm membership from that purchase and email you a link to set your password for the app.
Is there a free trial when I pay through Flex?
No. Paying through Flex is a direct purchase, charged today, for SLEEPSUITE and EDGE alike. If you want the 7-day free trial of SLEEPSUITE, start it from the plans page with a regular card.
What if I don’t have my HSA or FSA card with me?
Use the same Flex checkout with a regular credit or debit card. Flex emails you an itemized receipt that you can send to your HSA or FSA administrator for reimbursement.
Will my HSA or FSA cover NuCalm?
That decision belongs to your plan administrator, and employer-sponsored FSAs can set their own rules beyond the IRS guidelines. Check with your administrator before you buy.
What is a Letter of Medical Necessity?
A letter from a licensed clinician that some HSA and FSA administrators ask for before they treat a purchase as eligible. Where one is needed, Flex handles it as part of checkout with a short online health questionnaire, and emails you the letter with your receipt.
Do I need to do anything with the letter?
Keep it on file for at least three years in case of an IRS audit of your HSA or FSA. Some FSAs also ask to see it to confirm a purchase.
My letter has the wrong name or date of birth. Who can fix it?
Email support@withflex.com and Flex will have the letter corrected and sent again.
The date on my letter is one day off from my receipt.
That is usually a time zone difference. Email support@nucalm.com and we will ask Flex to reissue the letter with the right date.
HSA and FSA cards are debit cards, so the most common reason is not enough money in the account. Your plan administrator can confirm your balance.
Can I split the payment across more than one HSA or FSA card?
Not at the moment. If one account doesn’t have enough, pay with a credit card at the Flex checkout and claim it back with the receipt Flex sends you.
My FSA asked for more information about my receipt.
Forward the request to support@nucalm.com and we will work with Flex to get you an updated receipt.
My claim was denied. What now?
Send the response from your HSA or FSA administrator to support@nucalm.com. We will share it with Flex and come back to you with the next step.
Can I buy now and claim it from next year’s FSA?
It depends on your FSA. Most only cover purchases made during the coverage year, and some allow a short grace period after it ends. An HSA lets you claim with an itemized receipt at any point after the purchase, even years later.
I bought NuCalm before without Flex. Can I claim that purchase?
It may be harder, because you won’t have a Flex itemized receipt. An HSA usually accepts a receipt for a past purchase at any time. Most FSAs only accept purchases made in the year the FSA covered.
